Popular ProductGreen coffee is one of the categories Birmon Trading moves in volume as a bulk agricultural commodity exporter. We work with two distinct growing zones that most single-origin suppliers cannot offer together: the lowland Moungo belt for Robusta, and the Western Highlands for Arabica, giving buyers access to both species through one supplier.
Grading here follows the national standards set out under NC 225 and NC 227, which cover defect count, screen size, and moisture, alongside the washed and semi-washed classifications used to separate Grade 1 from Grade 2 Robusta. We ship FOB from Douala port with full ONCC documentation, so buyers importing under strict compliance requirements have the paperwork ready before the vessel leaves.
A roaster buying Arabica from the Western Highlands is usually chasing altitude and cup quality, not just a defect count on paper. Highland Arabica here is grown above the elevation most lowland origins can match, which shows up in cup as brighter acidity and a cleaner finish. We keep defect counts under the 86-per-300g threshold used in international grading, and we can pull samples ahead of a bulk order so your cupping team signs off before the container is booked.
Robusta buyers are usually optimizing for a different set of variables, caffeine content, body, and cost per ton rather than cup nuance. Lowland Robusta from the Moungo belt runs higher in caffeine than Arabica by a wide margin, which is exactly why instant coffee manufacturers and espresso blenders lean on it for crema and strength. Grade 1 fully washed lots carry fewer defects and a cleaner profile than semi-washed Grade 2, and we grade to the buyer's spec rather than shipping whatever lot is sitting in the warehouse.
Some buyers want the blend already built rather than managing two separate purchase orders and two shipping schedules. We can supply a pre-blended lot at a ratio set to your specification, which simplifies procurement for roasters running a single blended product line instead of inventory for two origins.
Our coffee range covers both species grown here, plus a blended option for buyers who need one product rather than two.
Green coffee ships in breathable jute bags, which lets residual moisture escape during transit rather than trapping it against the beans. Moisture is held in the 10 to 13 percent range depending on grade, tight enough to prevent mold risk over a multi-week sea voyage without over-drying the bean before roasting. Every lot is screen-sorted before bagging, so size variation within a single shipment stays within the range your roaster expects.
